Betty J Scott

Betty Jane Scott, 89, of Marysville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

She was born December 24, 1929 in East Detroit to the late John & Iva Ray. She married Charles Scott. He preceded her in death in December of 2005.

Mrs. Scott enjoyed reading, baking and cooking. She attended Colonial Woods Missionary Church. Betty was a devoted Christian who loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Charles (Donna) Scott Jr., Debra (Dr. Brij) Mohan-Gupta and Ronald (Dr. Colleen) Scott; six grandchildren, Michele (Jeff) Baker, Michael Scott, Rajeev Gupta, Dr. Anjuli (Tyler Hinkle) Gupta, Dr. Sanjeev (Dr. Anjali Dutta) Gupta and Manjuli Gupta; great grandchildren, Pfc Jeremiah Scott, USMC, Emily Fox and Mitchell Fox; brother, James “Ed” (Millie) Ray; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a son, Earl Scott; brothers, Paul & Earl Ray; and sisters, Jewel Edwards and Ruth Gruber.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Phil Whetstone will officiate. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Twp.
