Constance K Golubinski

Constance Kay Golubinski, 76, of Kimball Township, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019. She was born May 29, 1942 in Port Huron to the late John and Doris Brown. She married Theodore “Ted” Golubinski Sr. on April 15, 1961 in Port Huron. Mrs. Golubinski was a supervisor and tax preparer at the Marysville H&R Block office for 37 years, retiring in 2010. She was a very active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, serving on the church council, singing in the choir, and playing hand bells. She enjoyed bowling for over 50 years and was the secretary and treasurer of the Zebraette’s Bowling League. Connie was a member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (WELCA) and the Red Hat Society. She was the candy lady for Kimball Township Little League for over 15 years. She was very active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for several years. With her husband Ted, Connie ran the Marysville Viking Junior Gun Club for over 30 years. Connie was also a Pistol and Rifle instructor for the NRA for over 25 years. She was an avid hunter and a long time instructor for the Michigan Hunter Safety Courses. Connie loved to read, some of her favorite books being Perry Mason and Star Trek novels. Connie was a skilled finish carpenter and had her own collection of power tools. She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy, amazing her children with her knowledge of trivia. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ted; four children, Barbara (Mark) Sawher, Denise Miller, Susan (Greg) Koglin, and Theodore (Danielle) Golubinski Jr.; 12 grandchildren, Tyler, Steven (Hanna) and Samantha Sawher; Elizabeth Rock, Jacob Miller, Rachel Reaume (Darren) and Michaela Miller; Derrich and Paige Koglin; and Natasha, Courtney, and Miranda Golubinski; four great grandchildren; siblings, John (Shirley) Brown, Carol (Cary) Hann, Perry (Sandy) Brown, and Marjorie Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Kyle Sawher; her sister, Janet Henderson; and her brother, Alan Brown. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 12 and Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 3790 West Water, Port Huron, MI 48060, on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2 p.m. Pastor Bonnie Klos will officiate.
