Irene I Bowie
Irene Isabel Bowie, 99, of Marysville, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
She was born December 2, 1919 in Port Huron, to the late Duncan P. and Clara McDougal. She married Robert E. Bowie on October 4, 1941 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2001.
Irene was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church since 1953, and served on the Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed sewing and was employed as a seamstress for many years. She also loved to paint and work with watercolors.
She is survived by four children, Patricia (Gerald) Pierce, Gerald (Ione) Bowie, Kay Hall and Ellen Bowie; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; her sister, Cathryn Fairman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jerene Pierce.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. A Scripture Service will be held at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Bowie will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Gagnon will officiate.
The Rite of Christian Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
