Richard Harley Butler, 81, of North Street, died Thursday, March 28, 2019.

He was born in Carsonville in 1938 to the late Arthur and Margaret Butler.

Richard was a mechanical engineer with Mueller Brass for 41 years before his retirement. He graduated from Port Huron Junior College. Richard attended coffee club with the Mueller Retirees and was a longtime member of Community Baptist Church, where he served as head usher.

He is survived by his children, Sherri (Jeff) Fiedler, Raymond (Charlotte) Butler and Victoria Butler; step-children, Walter Curtiss, Rebecca (Douglas) White, Theresa Curtiss and Peter Curtiss; grandchildren, Anthony M. Hendra, Joy Schmidt, Brad (Lisa) Curtiss, Jared (Peggy) Schmidt, Victoria (Randy) Volosky, Justin (April) Curtiss, Jonathon (Jenna) Lemmon, Amanda (Nate) Lester, Peter (Amber) Curtiss II, and Kayli Curtiss; 21 great grandchildren; his first wife, Sandra Raines; a sister-in-law, Lois E. Schmidt; nieces, Karen Butler Givens and Gayle Butler; and many nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Butler; a brother, Gordon A. Butler; and three infant siblings.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019 in Community Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Reverend Jim Jones will officiate.

Burial will be in Washington Township Cemetery.
