William G Wahl
William George “Bill” Wahl, 80, of Burtchville Township, went home to be with his Lord Thursday, May 2, 2019.
He was born June 12, 1938 in Dearborn to the late George and Grace Wahl. He married Mary L. Tincher on September 14, 1963 in Mt. Clemens.
William served in the United States Army. During his working career, Bill had many jobs. He managed a 360-acre farm, worked for the Grand Trunk Western Railroad, was a manager with Secured Storage and owned and operated B & B Delivery. He loved fishing, camping, watching westerns and spending time with his family. He was a member of The River Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Wahl; four children, Shawn (Mike) Clingenpeel, Reverend William E. (Kim) Wahl, Timothy (Marci) Wahl, and Reverend Matthew (Kara) Wahl; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Cain; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 in The River Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Bill’s son, the Reverend William Wahl will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
