Grover B Whitenack

Grover Boyd “GB” Whitenack Jr, 73, of Clyde Township, died Sunday, June 2, 2019.

He was born February 14, 1946 in Fairdale, West Virginia to the late Hortence and Grover B Whitenack Sr. He married Marcella Leavine January 20, 1968 in Port Austin.

Grover was employed with the Construction Union 1191 in Detroit for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, playing cards and had a green thumb in the garden. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marcella; two children, Annette (Thomas) Whitenack-DeSantis Jr., and Terry Whitenack (Connie Meader); grandchildren, Anthony DeSantis, Emily DeSantis, and Kacey Whitenack; great grandchild, Benjamin Whitenack; siblings, Sarah Herman, James (Diane) Whitenack, Jerry Whitenack, and Sharon (Bruce) Smallwood; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Wilma, Mary, Frances, Patricia, and David.

Cremation has taken place. Private services will be held.
