Penny M Scott

Penny Marie Scott, 59, of Port Huron, died at home on Thursday, September 19, 2019.

She was born on February 26, 1960 in Port Huron to Karen and the late David Kovacs. She was a graduate of Yale High School Class of 1978. Those lucky enough to have known Penny consider her to be one of the sweetest, most kind, and SELFLESS people they have ever met!

Penny is survived by her only child, born Mary 12th 1984, Christopher Michael Scott, his fiancé Teresa, & soon to be 1st grandchild Aryana Marie; her longtime partner, Mark Bruhns & his daughter Taylor (Justin) Richards; mother, Karen Kovacs; sisters, Robin Van Daele and Kimberly (Denny) Meddaugh; brother, David (Laurel) Kovacs; her adored nieces/nephews, Joseph, Holly, Nicholas, Heidi, Melaina, Andrew, Aiden, & Sarah; great nephew D'Vonne; and many aunts and uncles. A large immediate family suited her well, because she lived for family!

Penny was preceded in death by her father, David A. Kovacs; two brothers, Larry and Kevin; and a beloved sister-in-law, Trudy Begerowski.

Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Wadhams Baptist Church, 5461 Lapeer Road in Kimball with visitation beginning at 4:30 p.m.
