Josette L Braden

Josette Leonie Braden, 77, of Port Huron, passed away peacefully at home on October 30, 2019 after a long illness.

Josette was born July 29, 1942 in Hautmont, France to Auguste and Simone Van Heyste (nee: Viget). She was the youngest of three daughters.

Her family immigrated to the U.S. and relocated to Detroit, Michigan in 1947 and later St. Clair Shores where she grew up and graduated high school. During her adult life she has lived in California, Michigan, Alabama, and finally back to Michigan. She had 3 sons and spent their formative years dedicated to raising and caring for them. Most of her career was spent as a loan manager in the banking industry.

Josette is survived by her 3 sons; Jordan (Linda) Thompson of Grosse Ile, MI, Eric (Ngoc Phan) Thompson of Houston, TX, and Ron Thompson of Fort Gratiot, MI; two grandchildren, Meggan Thompson and Jared Thompson; a great grandson, Micah Thompson; a sister, Colette Levy of Sun City, AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Braden; her parents, Auguste and Simone Van Heyste; and her sister, Yvette Bailey.
