Harold W Ainsworth

Harold Wellington Ainsworth, 74, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 31, 2019.

He was born August 13, 1945 in Port Huron to the late Wellington and Florence Ainsworth. He married Karen Crull on July 25, 1992 in Port Huron.

Mr. Ainsworth was a self-employed auto painter and a volunteer firefighter with Fort Gratiot Township. He enjoyed camping, canoeing, going to the cabin and to car shows, and three-wheeling.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; seven children, Christine (Joseph) Bennett, Tim (Pam) Ainsworth, Sara Ainsworth, Julie Mosurak, Tara (Shane) Spradlin, Christina Crull and Robert Crull; 17 grandchildren, including Amber Sosa, who they raised like a daughter; four great grandchildren; a sister, Janet Bilyeu; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois; a sister, Beverly Donaldson; a brother, Gary Donaldson; and a grandson, Curtis.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church with visitation beginning at 10:00. The Reverend Phil Whetstone will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
