John L Newton Sr.

John Leonard Newton Sr., 58, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019.

He was born August 23, 1961 in Houston, Texas to the late Leonard and Florence Newton. He married Vickilynn Ann Roskey on August 25, 1979 in Port Huron. She died June 15, 2014.

Mr. Newton was a chef at several area restaurants and had been employed by Lear Corporation for 14 years. He was an extremely hard worker and loved his family very much.

He is survived by three children, John (Taylor) Newton Jr., Michael (Racheal) Newton and Joleen Newton and fiancé, Patrick Wisswell; and grandchildren, Michael and Ian Newton, Madison Burgess, Lucas and Cali Newton, Alexis, Alaina, Mason and Alivia Wisswell. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Cheryl Carroll and Cathy Newton.

Private services will be held.
