Virginia M Darling
Virginia M. Darling, 96, of Port Huron, died Monday, November 18, 2019.
She was born January 16, 1923 in Toronto, Ontario to the late Guy and Isabelle Prashaw. She married Glenn A. Darling on February 22, 1941 in Bay City. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1997.
Virginia was very active in the local community. She was a volunteer at the Museum of Arts & History, taught English as a second language, was involved with the Port Huron School District Indian Education Program, lectured on herbs with the Cooperative Extension Program, taught Sunday school at St. Paul Episcopal Church and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by three children, Terry (Lauren) Darling, Jennifer (Gary) Lanphear, and Judith Darling; six grandchildren, Matthew (Cindy) Darling-Romain, Molly (John) Bosworth, Charley (Amy) Darling-Romain, Danielle (Michael Marks) Darling, Amanda (Cory Hoffman) Darling and Chelseah Darling; ten great grandchildren, Ian and Isaac Darling-Romain, Benjamin, Aiden and Zane Bosworth, Kellan, Everett and Adeline Marks, Isabel Hoffman and Caz Darling; several nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Jaimie Carl and Annie and Tom Lancaster. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi Prashaw and Pat (Howard) Regal, and a brother, William Prashaw.
