Josephine M. Lafata, 74, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, December 6, 2019.
She was born February 12, 1945 in Detroit to the late Sam and Hazel Lafata.
Josephine attended St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Christopher) Schmalzel; two grandchildren, Stephen and Mackenzie Schmalzel; a sister, Frances Peterson; three brothers, Joseph, Mark, and Sam Lafata; and many other family members. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Richard James Peterson.
Cremation has taken place.
