Joseph P Reynolds
Joseph Patrick Reynolds, 70, of Lexington, died Monday, December 30, 2019.
He was born July 7, 1949 in Yonkers, New York to the late Joseph and Patricia Reynolds. He married Linda Yorch in November 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Joseph was a graduate of Catholic University of Washington D.C. with a Doctorate in Philosophy. He had a 45-year career in publishing, was former chairman of the American Library Association, and was a pioneer in digitizing content, as he was the first to digitize the New York Times as well as the Wall Street Journal. Joseph raised millions for March of Dimes and championed literacy and English as a second language.
He is survived by three children, Jennifer (Jeff) Freeman, Mary Reynolds, and Alex Reynolds; eight grandchildren, Paul, Simon, Patrick, Luke, Elizabeth, Cynthia, and Bernadette Freeman and Nicholas Reynolds; and numerous siblings in the Southeast. He was preceded in death by his wife and mother of Alex and Mary, Phyllis Reynolds.
