John Repinski

May 19th, 1944 to December 30th, 2019

John Repinski, 75, of Port Huron, died Monday, December 30, 2019.

He was born May 19, 1944 in Detroit to the late Michael and Cecelia Repinski. He married Veronica Vojtasak, from Emmett, Michigan on July 20, 1964 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

John was in the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War from 1962 to 1966. He was employed with Grand Trunk Western Railroad and retired after 35 years. John was an avid collector of trains and Budweiser memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Veronica; five children, Sharon (Mark) Pemberton, Michael F. (Mary) Repinski, Mary (Joseph) Cook, John D. (Deirdre) Repinski, and Theresa Repinski; eight grandchildren, John W. Repinski, Sarah Cook, Alicia Pemberton, Michael J. Repinski, Daniel Cook, John D. Repinski II, Emily Repinski, and Kayley Pemberton; three great grandchildren, John III, Samuel, and Arthur; brother-in-law, Thomas (Kathy) Vojtasak; sister-in-law, Pat (Bill) Dickinson; several nieces and nephews; and lifetime friend that served in Vietnam with him, Larry (Robin) Kahler. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Janice Vojtasak.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.

Mr. Repinski will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Holy Trinity Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Burial will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Kenockee Township. Pallbearers will be John’s grandchildren. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
