Stanley Barrett

Stanley Bruce Barrett, 79, of Port Huron, was reunited with his wife of 54 years, Ann E. Barrett, in the gates of Heaven, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

He was born August 11, 1940 in Pontiac, Michigan, and was a resident of Port Huron most of his life.

Stan was a laborer, small business owner, and a truck driver for Ontario Die Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting at the gun range, and watching his favorite TV programs. He will be best remembered for cracking jokes with a toothpick in his mouth and a frosted beer mug in his hand.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Sally A. (Michael McLachlan) Jacobs, and Steven J. (Sonya Miller-Vanbuskirk) Barrett; grandchildren, Tiffany (Scott) Rich, Lacey, Stacey, and Hayley Jacobs, and Courtney Barrett; and great-grandchildren, Sylven and Avalynne Rich. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents, H. Donald and Myrtle Barrett; and sisters, Jackie and Donna Falk.

Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of Stan’s life will be held at a later date.
