James W Pabst
James Wesley Pabst, 71, of Harrison Township, died Saturday, January 25, 2020.
He was born April 9, 1948 in Detroit, to the late Arthur Pabst and Betty Miller.
James was a semi-truck driver for several companies including 18 years at Pepsi. He served in the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam War. James adored his family and loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid golfer and baseball player and enjoyed going to casinos. James was a huge sports fan, especially enjoying the Detroit teams and the University of Michigan.
He is survived by six children, Jeanine (William) Ware, Kelly Pabst, Daniel (Autumn) Pabst, Kerrie (Gene) Macudzinski, Erik Pabst, and Allysha (Chris) Decker; 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Marilyn and Aaron (Emily) Galloway, Jaylen Ware, Jeffery Mullins, Hudson Pabst, Cody and Alayna Macudzinski, Sloan Pompo, and Bailey and Colton Decker; two great grandchildren, Carson and Avett; five siblings, Carol, Marge, Bill, Ron, and Cheryl; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and several friends, including his best friend, Jim (Ann) Preville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a dear friend, Stoney Harder.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 29 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. A memorial gathering will follow at his daughter’s house.
