Leonard W Preston

Leonard Wendell Preston, 86, of Kimball Township, went to Glory and to see Jesus, and his beloved wife, Betty on Sunday, September 20, 2020.

He was born December 1, 1933 in Yale to the late Charles and Stella Preston. He married Betty Ramsey on December 13, 1952 in Sparlingville. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2016 after 63 years of marriage.

Leonard was employed at Mueller Brass Company for 5 years and St. Clair Rubber for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, woodworking, gardening, reading his Bible and playing his guitar.

He is survived by his children, Gary (Carolyn) Preston, Debra (Harold) Armstead, David (Sandy) Preston, Carole (Jeff) Goodman, and Kathy (Boyd) Morrison; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Beulah Robinson, Edith (Vernie) Teichow and Gloria Stevens; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel and Carl; brothers, Calvin, Clarence, Harold, Eldon and Clifford; and sister, Bernice Smith.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in the Marysville Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the comfort and safety of others.

Private Funeral services for the immediate family will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Woodrow Nelson will officiate.

Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Fargo. Pallbearers will be Jeff Goodman, Cassie Smith, Gerald Ramsey, Scott Ramsey, Carl Rich Jr., Ted Forstner, Lonnie Teichow and Duane Adolph.
