Dwaine K "Roppa" Thigpen Jr.

July 7th, 1975 to November 28th, 2020
Obituary

Dwaine Kenneth Thigpen, Jr. was born on July 7, 1975 in Port Huron, Michigan to Janet Davis and Dwoine Thigpen Sr. He was baptized at an early age and accepted his call to the ministry in 2011. Dwaine ministered to the saints on several occasions and shared words of exhortations to encourage the Saints under the direction of Pastor Pamela Bowers-Mitchell in Orlando, Florida.

Dwaine met his childhood sweetheart, Quantane Trimble in 1987. While they courted, he moved to Columbus, Ohio to be with his family for several years, but distance couldn’t keep them apart. Dwaine and Quantane united in marriage on August 10,1996. From this union, four beautiful children were born. The pair raised their children in the warm, sunny weather of Orlando, Florida.

Dwaine attended Eastmoor High School and Clinton Township Academy where he received his certificate in building and construction. He was a protector and a great provider for his family. He enjoyed family gatherings, dancing, playing cards, vacations, and listening to loud music.

Dwaine peacefully slipped away on November 28, 2020 where he was welcomed home by the Lord, his grandparents, Hal Joe Jones, William H. Miller Sr, Janeaster Miller, Hillary Baker Thigpen Sr., Robert Sanderson Sr. and Jaephus Sanderson; father-in-law, Samuel Trimble Jr.; and brothers-in-law, Samuel Trimble IV and James “Bunk” Watt.

He lives to cherish his legacy, his wife of 33 years Quantane Thigpen; four sons, Dwaine, De’Mon, Darion, and Diego Thigpen; two grandchildren, DeNiko and Malani De’Lani Thigpen; his parents, Janet Davis and Dwoine Thigpen; eight sisters, Dionne Thigpen, Marissa Lee, Shawntell Woods, Dominique Wesley, Destina Orozco, Ajee Lee, Desmine Lee, and Damiana Orozco; three brothers, Jason Thigpen, Vashoine and Raheem Orozco; mother-in-law, Joyce Trimble; brother-in-law, Darius (Alana) Trimble; goddaughter, Aysia Bankston; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
