Lynn Eugene Yarger
Mr. Lynn Eugene Yarger, 67, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2011 with his family by his side.
Lynn was born on July 27, 1944 in VanWert, Ohio to Robert and the late Catherine Yarger, and moved to Port Huron when he was five years old. Lynn married Linda Mahosky on December 4, 1965 in Port Huron.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy and owned Yarger Cash Register for many years. Lynn loved sports, especially watching his grandchildren play hockey, basketball, volleyball and softball. He tried hard never to miss a game! Lynn was also an accomplished bowler and golfer, recording a 300 game and a hole-in-one. He also loved restoring old cars, owned a ‘56 Crown Victoria, and was a member of the Country Cruisers and former member of the Blue Water Auto Restorers.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda; two children, Michael (Lynann) Yarger and Kimberly Older; three grandchildren, Lyndsey and Garrett Yarger and Ryan Older; his father, Robert Yarger; sister, Cherryl (Lester) Fraim; nephew, Jon Fraim; niece, Caryn Fraim; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law; several sisters-in-law; and many dear friends.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans.
