Nora Marion Jones, 93, of Port Huron, died Thursday, January 7, 2021.
She was born August 30, 1927 in Detroit to the late and Harold and May Wright. She married Carlton Jones on August 22, 1947 in Port Huron. He died February 12, 2010 after 62 years of marriage.
Nora was a 1945 graduate of Port Huron High School. She was employed with the Department of Social Services for many years until her retirement in 1989. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter, Margo Meyer; grandchildren, Zachary Meyer, Alexander Meyer and Timothy (Jacky) Jones; great grandchildren Ella Jones and Noah Jones; sisters, Margaret Klammer and Patricia Kimball; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Roger A. Jones.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at noon. Dr. Timothy North will officiate. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
