Obituary

Mary Patricia “Pat” Peters, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at the age of 97 in Fenton, Michigan.

She was born August 19, 1923 in Port Huron to the late John and Ethel Stonhill. She married Edward R. Peters on June 8, 1946 and they raised their family in Marysville.

Pat worked for many years at the U.S. Immigration Department and was a long-time member of the Marysville Methodist Church where she was active with the quilting group. She was also a lifetime member of Cornell-Marysville Chapter #93 Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to play cards, listen to music and spend time with her family. Her passions were quilting, cross stitch, sewing, knitting, gardening and baking. Always ready for a new adventure, she loved to travel with her husband and later with her family.

Pat is survived by her four sons, John (Karen), Mark, Douglas and Robin Peters; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ron) Rudd, Deborah (Tate) Keelin, Barry (Sarah) Peters, Erin Quinn, Andrew Peters, Colton Peters and Cameron Peters; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Richard Stonhill. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edward; and brother, Albert Stonhill.

Private burial will take place in Riverlawn Cemetery on Friday, January 15, 2021.
