Donald J LaVere

Donald James LaVere, 77, of Kimball Township, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

He was born July 3, 1943 in Kimball to the late William and Dorothy LaVere. He married Mildred MacWilliams on January 23, 1967 in Kimball.

Mr. LaVere was employed with Ford Motor Company for 30 years until his retirement in 1998. He loved his cars, guitars and spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; his son, James LaVere; two grandchildren, Nicholas Spicer and Rachel (Tony) Doan; two great grandchildren, Allie and Maddison; one brother, Bill (Flo) LaVere; sisters, Gladys (Jim) Sawyer and Maxine (Dick) Wilson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela LaVere Spicer in 2010 and son-in-law, Dion Spicer in 2007.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society.
