Aletha M. King
Aletha M. King, 89, of Port Huron, died unexpectedly, Thursday, November 10, 2011.
She was born November 7, 1922 in Owen Sound, Ontario to the late George and Beatrice Chappelle. She married C.Gerald Hisscock on September 19, 1942 in Port Huron. He died September 11, 1972. She married Wade Patton on February 19, 1977 in Port Huron and he died April 17, 1979. She married Rosco R. King on October 10, 1981 in Port Huron.
Mrs. King was a long time member of First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a Past President and Life Member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Chapeau St. Clair County Salon 40 & 8.
She is survived by her husband Rosco; two sons, C. Gerald (Barbara) Hisscock Jr. and Richard (Connie) Hisscock; four grandchildren, Dr. Russell Hisscock, Laura (Jeff) Mayer, Scott Hisscock and Keith Hisscock; six great grandchildren, Brenton, Jacob and Amber Hisscock, Ryan, Brady and Miranda Mayer; two sisters, Beverly (Clifton) Friedland and Carol (Edward) Ogden; Special friend, Donald (Susan) Patton; several nieces and nephews; and many other dear friends and loving, caring neighbors.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 12-2 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 in First United Methodist Church. The Reverend John Huhtala and Rev. John F. Grenfell will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dr. Russell Hisscock, Scott and Keith Hisscock, Jeff Mayer, Jeff and Charlie Friedland.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
