The Reverend Larry J Peuterbaugh
Reverend Larry James Peuterbaugh, 69, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on January 26, 2021.
He was born November 13, 1951 in Utica to the late Chester and Mildred Peuterbaugh. He married Judy L. Dring on November 5, 1971 in Warren.
Larry was an adored son, a faithful Pastor, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a caring brother and a true friend. He dedicated much of his life to music ministry, and the ministering of the gospel through evangelism and pastoring at the Richmond Church of God. His love and passion for music led him to record and produce with his family their very first record album for Calvary’s Children. He then continued with song writing and recording with Fieldstone Ministries for many years. Larry also shared his love of music ministry with his coworkers during the seasonal Christmas program at the Chrysler Warren Stamping plant, where he worked for 32 years. After retirement, Larry loved his job as a ranger with St. Clair County Parks and especially enjoyed the time he spent working at Fort Gratiot County Park and the Metcalf beach.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Judy; his two daughters, Shelly (Eric) Muench and Heather (Cory) Newberry; six grandchildren, Holly, Madison, Sydney, Lily, Evan and Olivia; five siblings, David Peuterbaugh, Debbie (Frank) Hansen, Kevin (Cathy) Peuterbaugh, Kathy Peuterbaugh and Jon (Linda) Peuterbaugh; and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and his furry best friend, Rocky.
Memorial services at the Peuterbaugh home will be announced.
Memorials may be made to Larry’s favorite charity, the Blue Water Area Humane Society.
