Ruth M Briggs

Ruth Marie Briggs, 67, of Chesterfield, died Saturday, January 30, 2021.

She was born June 18, 1953 in Mount Clemens to the late Carl and Ruth Kuehn.

Ruth was a devoted, loving and self-less mother. She was a Court Clerk with the Macomb County 42nd District Court for many years. Ruth grew up on a farm and enjoyed horseback riding and taking care of her various animals. She also loved to travel and was a stylish dresser.

She is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Briggs; sister, Dora Kuehn; mother-in-law, Irene Briggs; brother-in-law, Lee (Kim) Briggs; sister-in-law, Cindy (Rocky) Rogers; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Tony) Sachs, Kristina (Brad) Briggs Goodwin, Jessica (Ben) Hewitt and R.J. (Stephanie) Rogers. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Malon Jerry Briggs Jr. and an infant granddaughter, Cynthia.

Private services will be held on April 10, 2021.

Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
