Mr. Weston Charles Weaver Sr, 90, of Marysville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
He was born June 9, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Velma and Frank Weaver Sr., the second oldest of 10 children.
He married the love of his life, Grace O’Connor on August 21, 1948 in Port Huron. They were married for over 64 years before Grace went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2013. He missed her so much.
Weston’s life spoke loud and clear of goodness, kindness and caring. He was a “gentle” man, always wanting to make sure everything was taken care of.
He began working at the Morton Salt Company in Marysville in 1949 at the age of 19 and worked there for 35 years until the plant closed in 1984. He also did masonry work and prior to retirement, worked at J.P. Stevens & Company. He was a life-long handyman and loved the Detroit Tigers. Family was very important to him, and he enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners. He was also the math-whiz that everyone could depend on.
He is survived by a son, Weston C. (Denise) Weaver Jr. of Port Huron; three daughters, Patricia Powers of Port Huron, Brenda (Ivan) Marquardt of Kimball and Kathleen Weaver-Peart of California; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a brother, Frank (Gladys) Weaver; four sisters, Nadine Livingston, Ilene Rome, Carol (Dana) Kuehn and Sharon (Don) Thiede; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; and three sisters, Joanne, Jean and Mary Lou.
He will be sadly missed by all that knew him but we know he is in his heavenly mansion. He is no longer suffering but rejoicing in the Lord.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.
