Jacob H Emerick

Jacob Henry Emerick, 93, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

He was born September 3, 1927 in Port Huron to the late Alexander and Dorothy Emerick. He married Berkeley J. McDermid on June 26, 1958 in Toledo, Ohio. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2011 after 52 years of marriage.

Jacob worked at A & P for many years. He was a life member of Port Huron Masonic Lodge # 58 and Pine Grove Masonic Lodge # 11 F & A.M.

He is survived by a son, Walter Emerick; granddaughter, Carol (Tim) Reid; great granddaughter, Alysha LeCapelain; son-in-law, Ken Buchser; brother, Robert Emerick; and friend, Bob Goodman. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mari Jane Buchser; and ten siblings, Alex, Dave, Chuck, Lydia, Molly, Katie, Mary, Edith, Eleanor and Rosie.

Private services will be held.

Burial will be with his wife, Berkeley in Canada.
