Thomas Gary Dobson, 69, of Port Huron, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Thursday, February 18, 2021.
He was born December 3, 1951 in Port Huron to the late John and Helen Dobson. He married Mable Taylor on April 3, 1971 in Port Huron.
Mr. Dobson was employed with Grand Trunk Western Railroad prior to his retirement and plowed snow. He served in the U.S. Army. He loved helping everyone and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mable; three children, Tammy (Chris) Warsinski, Gary (Sarah) Dobson and Kathy (Tony) Washington; 12 grandchildren, who were very special to him, Christopher Warsinski, Joshua Dobson, Meghan, Malarie and Murissa Thompson, McKeniah (Chris) Thorpe, Anthony, Alex, Ariana, Abigaile, Amelia and Aubree Washington; 11 great grandchildren; and six siblings, Richard Dobson, Joe (Sharon) Dobson, Jane Dobson, Mike Dobson, Myron Dobson and Lynn Swoffer. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Dobson; and siblings, Jim, Clint and Tim Dobson.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.
Private services for the family will be held a 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Bill Forbes will officiate. The funeral livestream may be viewed on Thomas’s obituary page on the funeral home website.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
