Alberta Marie Moore, 95, of Fort Gratiot died Saturday, March 13, 2021.
She was born April 2, 1925 in Linton, Indiana to the late William and Dora Baker. She married Leonard Moore on June 1, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1998 after 52 years of marriage.
Alberta was a 1944 graduate of Port Huron High School and worked for Michigan National Bank until her first son was born. When her children were of school age, Alberta returned to work at the Port Huron Area School District as a teacher’s aide until her retirement in 1987. She was a longtime active member of Griswold Street Baptist Church since 1954 where she was a Sunday school teacher, primary church worker, and member of the Lael class for over 45 years.
She is survived by three sons, Randy (Krista), Tom (Connie) and Brian (Robin) Moore; five grandchildren, Michael Moore, Justine (Brandon) Robinson, Patrick Moore, Melissa Moore and Jake Moore; three great grandchildren, Kala Moore and Hannah and Alex Robinson; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her longtime friend and caregiver, Marge Fowler. She was preceded in death by eight siblings, Jim, John, Knute, Frank, Hazel, Rose, Martha and her dear sister Phyllis on December 25, 2020.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the comfort and safety of others.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Friends may view the livestream of the service by going to Alberta’s obituary page on the funeral home website. Pastor Joel Mitchell will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot.
