Julie A Staiger

Dr. Julie Ann Staiger, DVM, 55, of Marysville, died unexpectedly on March 27, 2021, after courageously fighting her illness for many years.

She was born on November 3, 1965, in Sacramento, California, the beloved daughter of Sharon and the late John L. Staiger Jr.

Julie was a life-long resident of the Blue Water area. She was the Valedictorian of Port Huron High School in 1984, attended St. Clair County Community College, and received her Doctorate from Michigan State University in 1991. Julie was a devoted Veterinarian, loved all animals, and supported many animal-related charities.

She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Julie is survived by her husband, Gordon Hellman; mother, Sharon Staiger; brother, John (Wendy) Staiger III; nephew, John Staiger IV; and niece, Erika Staiger and her fiancé Andrew Wijaranarong. She was preceded in death by her father, John Staiger Jr.; and her grandparents, John “Pat” (Marion) Staiger, Ruby Hanton, and Hubert (Loretta) Smith.

Private services will be held this summer.
