Lois Louise Davis

Lois Davis, 81, of Fort Gratiot, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011. She was born Lois Louise Wiltse in Manchester, Iowa on December 17, 1929. She married Walter Lee Davis Jr. on June 14, 1948 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Lois was a loving, caring person who helped the needy through her volunteer work for many years at Project Blessing in Carsonville. She maintained optimism, a sunny disposition and good sense of humor throughout her lifetime. She had a zest for life which she expressed in her many hobbies which included reading, gardening, fishing, sewing, oil painting, cooking and bird watching. For those who knew her, she will be remembered for her good will and cheerful spirit.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Walter, and their two sons and two daughters, Glenn (Beverly) Davis of Smiths Creek, Amy (Michael) Welsh of Bruce Crossing, Susan Winn of Capac, and Walter (Margaret) Davis III of Port Huron, along with seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorials to Project Blessing, 4 South Marsh Street, Carsonville, MI 48419.
