Obituary

Margaret A. Horn, 86, of Fort Gratiot, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

She was born February 14, 1935 in North Street to the late William and Alvira Brehl. She married Raymond Horn on June 20, 1952 in Clyde Township. He died January 23, 2001.

Mrs. Horn was a 1953 graduate of Port Huron High School. She worked as a cashier at Kroger for many years and was a member of North Street United Methodist Church. She was a foster grandparent at Michigamme Elementary for 14 years. Margaret enjoyed working on their farm and traveled throughout the Thumb as an AI breeder.

She is survived by six children, Arthur (Marsha) Horn, Kay Durham, Barbara (Rob) Crawford, Lynne (Fred) Hall, James Horn and Jack (Lisa) Horn; 19 grandchildren and step grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Hugh Durham; a granddaughter, Destiny Brown; and a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Oren Brandl.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.

A private family service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend David Reed will officiate. The livestream of the funeral can be viewed on Margaret’s obituary page of the funeral home website.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township.
