Beverly Jean Gaw, 90, of Marysville, died Thursday, April 8, 2021.
She was born October 24, 1930 in Carsonville to the late Leon and Leona Hyde. She married William “Bill” Gaw on September 24, 1949 in Lexington. He died July 28, 2009, just short of 60 years of marriage.
Jean manned the phones for the family ice cream business she and her husband operated. After retirement, she loved to go camping. Jean also loved to read, and anyone who knew her knew she loved to talk, whether it was to her family, friends, or someone she just met!
She is survived by a son, Greg (Elien) Gaw of Marysville; a daughter, Lori (Craig) Gamble of East China; six grandchildren, Christine (Ed Hill) Gaw, Carrie (Adrian) Matos, Valerie (Norm) Schuyler, Larry (Lori) West Jr., Jeremiah Gamble and Makayla (Jacob Stray) Gamble; nine great grandchildren, Riley and Randi Schneider, Trent and Elsie West, Alina and Adriana Matos, Roman and Micha Stray and Malory Pelletier; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Hyde of Kimball. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Hyde, on December 10, 2006.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.
Private services will follow at 4 p.m. The Reverend Curtis Clarke will officiate. The livestream of the service may be viewed from Jean’s obituary page on the funeral home website.
Interment will be in Lexington Cemetery.
