Obituary

Patrick George Carnahan, 76, of Kenockee Township, died Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

He was born March 17, 1945 in Port Huron to the late Glenn L. and Theresa Visga Carnahan.

Patrick was employed at Hammar’s welding for many years. He was a proud Irishman who loved St. Patty’s Day and Busch and Hamms beer. He was a former member of the Eagles and enjoyed horseback and motorcycle riding, campfires, hayrides and playing Euchre. Most importantly, he adored his family, especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his spouse and life long partner, Kathy Schlinkert; children, Patricia “Cricket” (Roger) Hartman, Dawn (Roger) Carriveau, Paula “Nicki” (Terry) Hashley, Michelle “Shelly” Martin and Tonia Rock; 22 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; four siblings, Glenda Rose, Frank Hill, Ed Hill and Grace (Jeff) Geister; and his beloved dog, Lily.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Shafer; father, Glenn Lee Carnahan; brother, Glenn “Butch” Carnahan Jr.; brother-in-law, Roger Rose; and sister-in-law, Paula Hill.

Public visitation will be from 3-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others. A private family memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m. Celebrant Laurie Wilson will officiate.
