Mary Kwiatkowski
Mary Julia “Mamie” Kwiatkowski, 94, of Marysville, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 after a brief illness.
She was born in Port Huron on June 2, 1926, the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Ward) Gwisdala. She married John W. Kwiatkowski on February 23, 1946 at St. Christopher Church in Marysville. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1993.
Mary graduated from St. Stephen High School in 1943. During her career she held jobs with the City of Marysville, Anker Holth and retired from Michigan Works. She enjoyed spending time with family, doing crossword puzzles, gardening and baking. She was an avid fan of Marysville High School sports and the Viking Regiment Marching Band. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.
She is survived by four children, John W. (Cindy) Kwiatkowski of Manistee, Cindy (John) Irish of Marysville, Richard (Jane) Kwiatkowski of Tucson, AZ and Martha (J. Patrick) Bloem of East Grand Rapids; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021 in St. Christopher Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of Michigan.
