Donald R Jones

Donald Roy Jones, 86, of Marysville, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

He was born November 30, 1934 in Marysville to the late Grover and Jessie Jones. He married Maria Rosario Ortuondo on April 18, 1957 in Bordeaux, France. She died October 15, 2013.

Mr. Jones graduated from Marysville High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years. He then attended SC4 where he studied electronics and became a hearing aid technician working in the Port Huron area for many years. Donald enjoyed playing the piano and anything to do with computers, electronics and HAM radio. He was a long time Sunday School teacher and member of Marysville Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Natalie (Tom) Mireau: grandchildren, Jeffrey Jones, Angela (Anthony) Lazar and Nathan (Julie) Mireau; two great grandchildren, Corbin and Wyatt Lazar; siblings, Phyllis (Terry) Mohrmon, Deborah (Irwin) Smith, Rebecca (Jim) Gumber, Michelle (John) Meredith, Michael (Karen) Jones and Timothy Jones; and many nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by his son, Jose Jones; and a brother, Richard Jones.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Marysville Assembly of God Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend James Turner will officiate.

Burial will follow in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
