Carl S. Ulrich, 78, of St. Clair Township, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
He was born October 6, 1942 in Kimball Township to the late Ralph and Marion Ulrich. He married Beverly Warren on August 29, 1964 in St. Clair. She died June 12, 2013.
Carl was involved in the trucking industry as both a driver and owner/operator for many years. As a young man he sailed on the Great Lakes and served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing the Lotto, traveling, and watching the freighters. He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
He is survived by three children, Anita (Nick) Serra, Audra (Jim) Faulkner and Wade Ulrich; eight grandchildren, Samantha (Joe) Turbok, Theresa Serra, Nicolo Serra, Joell (Chris) Young, Nichole (Auston) Knight, Mitchell (Michelle) Ulrich, Kaitlyn (Jun) Hwang and Krista Ulrich; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Liverance and Joann (Bill) Olary; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by eleven siblings, Jim, Art, Russel, Gordon, Stanley, Ralph, Dorothy, Jean, Karen, Margaret and Betty.
Visitation will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Please use the 9th Street entrance to the parking lot as Lapeer Avenue is blocked off.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Michael Opfermann will officiate.
Burial will be in Burtchville Township Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy.
