Donna Eileen Johnson, 92, of Marysville, joined the angels in the heavenly kingdom on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
She was born January 3, 1929 in Port Huron to the late Clayton and Bessie Beedon.
Mrs. Johnson was employed at Sperry’s Department Store for over 30 years, retiring in 1991. She was a 1946 graduate of Port Huron High School and graduated from Port Huron School of Business. She was a member of Marysville United Methodist Church for over 60 years and loved assisting with and participating in their many social events. She was a member of the Marysville Historical Commission and the Red Hat Society. She worked on the Marysville elections for many years and volunteered with the Marysville Museum as their secretary.
She is survived by four children, Marcia (Dominick) Senna, Cindy Johnson (John Martin), Edward (Nancy) Johnson and David Johnson; daughter-in-law, Cherie Johnson; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Ronald Beedon; sister-in-law, Diane Beedon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, John Johnson; a sister, Shirley Waldrop; and a brother, Gerald Beedon.
Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home, 1200 Michigan Avenue, Marysville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021 in Marysville United Methodist Church with visitation at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Curtis Clarke will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marysville United Methodist Church or The Salvation Army.
