Lois M. Dell, 92, of Clyde Township, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
She was born October 1, 1928 in Port Huron to the late Howard and Pearl Bell. She married John W. Dell on October 8, 1948 in Port Huron and they were married 66 years. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2015.
Mrs. Dell was a kindergarten teacher with the Port Huron Area School District for 40 years, retiring in 1995. She was a lifelong member and church organist at Griswold Street Baptist Church. She was a member of the Port Huron Musicale, the MEA and the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel.
She is survived by three children, John (Carole) Dell, Susan (Darrell) Lonie and Thomas Dell; eight grandchildren, Erin (Michael) DeViney, Jonathan (Rachael) Dell, Breanna (Jeremy) Thornton, Jeffrey (Carlie) Dell, Justin Lonie, Adam Dell, Aubree (Andrew) Reich and Andrea Dell; eight great grandchildren, Ragan, Evelyn, Noah, Eli, Milo, Jack, Benjamin and Ava; former daughter-in-law, Peggy Dell; a sister, Janet (Donald) VanDommelen; a brother, David Bell; sister-in-law, Shirley (Alan) Crawford; brother-in-law, Robert (Mary Lou) Dell; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021 in Griswold Street Baptist Church. The Reverend Joel Mitchell and Dr. Tim North will officiate.
Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Dell, Jeffrey Dell, Adam Dell, and Justin Lonie.
