Edna R Mitchem
Edna “Ruth” Mitchem, 90, of St. Clair, died Saturday, June 26, 2021.
She was born December 4, 1930 in Davy, West Virginia to the late George and Beulah Green. She married Dan Mitchem March 29, 1950 in West Virginia. He preceded her in death October 1, 2014 after 64 years of marriage.
Edna “Ruth” was a long-time member of Columbus Bible Church. Her trust and faith in the Lord Jesus carried her through-out her life. As dementia weakened her body and memory, it could not strip her of her sweet, grateful, loving spirit and joyful smile. She always had a caring, nurturing spirit, mentoring family and friends until she took her last breath. To be absent from the body and present with the Lord!
She is survived by two daughters, Ann (Paul) Charbeneau and Edna (Roy) Raymer; son, Michael Mitchem; grandchildren, Wendy (Doug) Conner, Amy Charbeneau (Larry), David (Melissa) Raymer, April (Dan) Bajer and Martin Mitchem; great grandchildren, Madison Conner, Douglas Conner and Jordyn Cobb; siblings, Mary (Hilton) Page and Danny (Rosemary) Green; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings, Leonard, Earl, Lily Mae, Wanda, Jack, Jerry, Charles Wayne and Clark.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in Columbus Bible Church. The Reverend Woody Nelson will officiate.
Burial will be in Kittridge Cemetery, Columbus.
