Randy Stephen “RJ” Trice Jr., 26, of Port Huron Township, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 3, 2021.
He was born March 28, 1995 in Port Huron to Cynthia and Randy S. Trice Sr.
RJ was a 2013 graduate of Port Huron High School, where he excelled on the football team. He played semi-pro football for the Sarnia Imperials in Canada and was defensive player of the year in the 2018-2019 season. He loved to work out and spend time at the YMCA. He was a mentor to many people, making motivational workout videos and helping youth with their training.
He is survived by his daughter, Teagan Marie Trice; fiancée and mother of his daughter, Shelby Marshall; his parents, Cynthia and Randy Trice Sr.; siblings, Jaden Trice and C.J. Trice (Tyler Anglebrandt); grandparents, Richard (Gayralda) Huston and Catherine Trice; aunts and uncles, Rodney (Elizabeth) Trice, Judy (Steve) Murray, Cathy Trice, Christine (Steve) Deaton, Gwen Trice, Malese (Dwain) Cureton, Lawrence Trice, Linda (Thomas) Robinson, Rhonda Barnes, Sharon (Michael) Pool, Ronald Trice and Janet (Mike) Taylor; nephew, Titus Whitcomb; many cousins and friends, including his closest friends, Quade Krosch, Jordan Cureton, Jalen Esters, Braheem Crews and Marcel Trice. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, the Reverend Jimmie Trice; uncles, Jimmy Trice Jr. and Paul Trice Sr.; aunt, Yvonne Lightner; and cousin, Paul Trice Jr.
RJ will be remembered for his strong character, infectious smile and his ability to brighten any room he entered.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with a time of sharing at 8:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
