William E. Travis Jr., 68, died Tuesday, July 6, 2021.

He was born July 27, 1952 in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Dorothy and William Travis Sr.

Mr. Travis was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in various management positions across the country. He served in the U.S. Army. He loved to tell jokes and stories. He enjoyed golfing and planning group trips for family and friends to the casino, and Lions, Tigers and Pistons games.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; a stepson, Jeremy (Katie) Ruszala; Avery, Ally and Logan, who called him Papa; two sisters, Jean (Rick) McGowen and Janice Principe; a brother, Steven Travis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Fernando Fornelli.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Inurnment and military honors will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
