Marilyn J Tovarez
Marilyn Jean Tovarez, 74, of Marysville, died Saturday, July 31, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born June 4, 1947 in St. Clair to the late Eugene and Helen Siler. She married Michael C. Tovarez on February 20, 1965 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clair.
Marilyn graduated from Marysville High School in 1965. She was a child daycare provider for 34 years, mostly babies, young children and some latchkey kids because their home was near Washington Elementary. She also cared for her mother until her death in 2010.
She is survived by her five children, Lisa Martiny, Teresa (Mark) Gordon, Jon (Julie) Tovarez, David (Cathy) Tovarez and Matthew (Jamie) Tovarez; 14 grandchildren, Christopher (Michelle) Martiny, Nicholas Martiny, Joshua (Ariana) Gordon, Aaron Gordon, Anna, Beth, Natalia, Arianna, Katelyn, Breanna, Ashley Tovarez and Lauren Dietlin; two great grandchildren, Kylee Gordon and Kairi Hearn; siblings, Linda (William) Farrer, Gary (Julie) Siler, Kevin (Mary Jo) Siler, and Michael (Sandy) Siler; brother-in-law, George MacRae; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Karen MacRae.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 and 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.
Inurnment will be in Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium, Marysville.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors who helped Marilyn over the years, especially to the staff and teams of nurses at the Fresenius dialysis center. Marilyn was also very thankful to her family who cared for her and allowed her to stay in her home.
