David Q. Stocker

David Quinlan Stocker, 82, of Marysville died Sunday, October 16, 2011.
He was born December 5, 1928 in Port Huron to the late Guy and Sylvia Stocker. He married Marjorie A. Roberts on Sept. 5, 1953 in Palms.
Mr. Stocker was employed with the Grand Trunk Western Railroad, retiring on December 13, 1991 after 43 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy, attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was a member of Charles Hammond American Legion Post #8. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and watching his children and grandchildren play sports.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; five children, Denice (David) Krugler, Philip (Renee) Stocker, Steven (Tina) Stocker; Diane (Scott) Muir and Debby (Jim) Hinkley; 17 grandchildren, one great grandchild; a brother, Lloyd (MaryLou) Stocker; a sister, Helen (John) Dombruski and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Mr. Stocker will lie in state in St. Joseph Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 19, 2011. The Reverend Brian Cokonougher will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Parish, Great Lakes Caring Hospice or Marwood Nursing and Rehab.
