David Leroy Johnson, 66, of Marysville, died Monday, August 2, 2021.
He was born April 7, 1955 in Port Huron to the late Calvin and Donna Johnson.
David graduated from Marysville High School in 1973. He was a route supervisor with the Detroit Free Press for many years. He loved anything and everything to do with Elvis. He enjoyed driving in demolition derbies, attending car shows, going to concerts in the Marysville park, and helping others in need.
He is survived by his siblings, Marcia (Dominick) Senna, Cindy Johnson (John Martin) and Edward (Nancy) Johnson; his sister-in-law, Cherie Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Johnson.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in Marysville United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at noon. The Reverend Curtis Clarke will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Pallbearers will be Ed Johnson Sr., Ed Johnson Jr., Mark Johnson, Roger Beedon, Brady Beedon and Jimmy Waldrop.
