Garldeen "Jean" Wendt

July 9th, 1928 to August 5th, 2021

Garldeen Lillian “Jean” Wendt, 93, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 5, 2021.

She was born July 9, 1928 in Port Huron to the late Frederick and Mae Belle Pettee.

Jean graduated from Port Huron High School and was a member of The River Church. One of the highlights of her life was teaching Sunday School for four and five year-olds at Marysville Assembly of God Church. She was employed with St. Clair Rubber Company for 20 years before her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, and donated over 100 pairs of mittens each year to those in need.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Ray) McKelvey Jawor and Cindy McKelvey Kars; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Pettee; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands, Douglas G. McKelvey in 1971 and Earl F. Wendt in 2015; son, Gordon McKelvey; grandson, Bradley Kars; and seven brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 in The River Church, North River Rd. Location. The Reverend Bill Forbes will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raphael Jawor, Douglas Jawor, Katrina Ciccarello, Mike Ciccarello, Wayne Yeates, Chad Kars and Davon Kars.
