Roger W. Fenner, 87, of Port Huron, died Saturday, August 14, 2021 at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 13, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Russel and Irene Fenner. He married Rosalie Stapleton on March 6, 1954 in Lexington. She died on June 8, 2020 after 66 years of marriage.
Mr. Fenner was a Supervising Operator with Detroit Edison at the St. Clair Power Plant and retired on July 14, 1989 after 37 years of service. He was a life-long member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and Port Huron Elks Lodge #343. He loved the 30 years he spent pitching on several fast pitch softball teams. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling.
He is survived by his two daughters, Shelly (John) Fenner-Krasny and Kimberley (Bob) Eick; three grandchildren, Travis (Alyssa) Wolff, Lindsey Krasny and Nicholas (Hope) Krasny; a great grandson, Johnathan Krasny; and many special nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lewis Fenner, Maynard Fenner, Joyce Chisholm and Joan Hubbard.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Dr. William Wingrove will officiate. Anyone unable to attend may watch the service livestream by going to Roger’s obituary page on the funeral home website.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
