Patrick Timothy O'Boyle

Patrick Timothy O’Boyle, 81, of Marysville, died Saturday, August 21, 2021.

He was born August 16, 1940 in Emmett to the late Michael and Claire O’Boyle.

Patrick joined the Marysville Police Department in 1962 and rose thru the ranks to become Chief and retired after forty years of service. He started the DARE program in the Marysville Public Schools and was a member of the F.O.P., Marysville Rotary and St. Christopher Catholic Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by three children, Tim (Laura) O’Boyle, Debbie (Jim) Tremp and Kathy (Jerry) Thibodeau; his former wife, Shirley O’Boyle; nine grandchildren, Ryann (Tim) Whitmore, Danielle (James) Tuffin, Jamie (Ryan) Deprez, T.J. (Torri) O’Boyle, Jim (Melissa) Tremp, Renee (Shawn) Metdepenningen, Jerry (Alicia) Thibodeau, Andy Thibodeau and Ashley Thibodeau; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Claire (Robert) Sholtz; brother, Charlie (Tina) O’Boyle; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Michaelene Roberts, Robert O’Boyle, John O’Boyle and Rosalina Patterson.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in St. Christopher Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.
