Lois J Foster

Lois Jean Foster, 96, of Port Huron, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021.

She was born July 11, 1925 in Port Huron to the late Thomas and Margaret Warren and was the last of 13 siblings. Lois married Jack Foster in June of 1946 and he passed away on June 30, 2000. Her youngest son, Tom, passed away on April 1, 2021.

She is survived by her son, Jack (Janet) Foster II of Port Huron; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Knisely of Lake Oswego, Oregon; four grandchildren, Jean Foster, David (Ashley) Foster, Josh Foster and Alexis (Jamin) Meletia; three great grandchildren, Evergreen, Koa, and Olive; a special nephew, Jon (Kathy) Koob; a niece, Kriste (Dale) Hollenbaugh; and good friends, Dick and Nancy Doehring and Linda and Leon Falk.

Lois retired from Acheson Industries, Inc. after many years as an Executive Secretary. She was an active participant in her church, St. John’s United Church of Christ, whose members were her second family.

Lois’ family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Marwood Nursing and Rehab, McLaren Hospice and Dr. Farrukh Naqvi for their kind, attentive, loving care and support.

The details of a memorial service and luncheon will be communicated at a later date.

Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
