Michael G Johnsick

Michael George Johnsick, 73, of Port Huron Township, died Friday, August 27, 2021.

He was born September 7, 1947 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Doris Johnsick. He married Nancy Jean Allen on December 23, 1972 in Port Huron. She died July 27, 2007.

Michael started shining shoes downtown at 10 years old and graduated from Port Huron Catholic in 1966. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was employed with the Detroit Pipefitters Union #636. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #158, Blue Water Aerie #3702 Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion and V.F.W. Charles Schoor Post #796. He enjoyed collecting antiques and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Michael Johnsick (Jennifer Moore), Andrew, Mark and David Johnsick; five grandchildren, Jake, Samuel, Zoe, Jenna and Andrew; siblings, Joe (Toni) Johnsick, Raymond Johnsick and Kathleen (Bob) Plant; brothers-in-law, Michael Booth and Gill Lawrence; step-brothers, Joe, Jim and Ron Godi; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Julia L. Johnsick; sisters, Joan Gundel, Mary Finn Lawrence and Ann Booth; and step-brothers, Ricky and Jerry Godi.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Phil Whetstone will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
